Samsung has launched an unusual trio of food-themed stylized cases for the Galaxy Buds 4 series. They’re available in the USA for $29.99 each, and Samsung says you can “get your favorite one or buy them all.”
You’ve got three flavors to pick from — soupy, salty, and sweet. The Food Can Cases mimic canned tomato soup, sardines, and sweet corn, and their names reflect that.
While the cases look a lot like real food cans, you won’t need a can opener to use them. They’re designed to appear authentic but open effortlessly and keep the Buds 4 cases secured.
The cases also feature a small lanyard with an accessory that matches the theme, shaped like a sardine, a tomato, or a corn cob.
Each case weighs 40 grams and is listed as the “ANYMODE Buds 4 (Pro) Heritage Case.” The naming suggests they were designed by Anymode Corporation, a Korea-based company founded in 2007 with close ties to Samsung Electronics.
These cases are compatible only with the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. They don’t replace the original charging case but wrap around it, meaning they’re molded specifically for the redesigned Buds 4/Buds 4 Pro cases.
And in case there's any confusion, these Food Can Cases don't improve battery life or add any functionality. They are purely cosmetic, but that doesn't make them any less fun. And you could argue that they add an extra layer of protection to the original Buds cases.
All three Food Can Cases are now available in the USA for $29.99. Buyers can also split the cost into four $7.50 payments every two weeks. And shipping is free.
As for the earbuds themselves, the Galaxy Buds 4 retail for $179, while the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro cost $249.
